Summerlyn Powers is known for pairing a warm country sound with thoughtful, story-driven songs inspired by folk singer-songwriters of the 1970s. She began her career at age 11, when she released the single “Alabama Kinda Girl” accompanied by the music video featuring country star Pam Tillis. She is now a member of Pam Tillis’ band, playing rhythm guitar and singing regularly on the Grand Ole Opry stage and across the country.
